Cameron Johnson Commits to the Tar Heels
by Derrick Clyburn
Pitt Panther, Cameron Johnson committed to North Carolina on Tuesday. The 6-8 forward graduated from Pittsburgh and has two years of player eligibility left to transfer to the school of his choice. Cameron is fighting the Pittsburgh ruling that he’s immediately eligible to play anywhere except the ACC. Johnson also considered Arizona, Kentucky, Oregon and UCLA.
Johnson can immediately replace Justin Jackson at the small forward position with his marksman 3-point shooting ability. He is a quality defender as well.
What do you think about this situation? Should he be able to transfer to any school he desires, since he has graduated from Pittsburgh?
This will be interesting to see what happens, since he has already committed to the Tar Heels basketball team.
