UNC Tar Heels Basketball Team Fall Again With Late Shot By Virginia

The Tar Heels basketball team has been so very close but so far away in this very difficult season. So many bad breaks. The ball hasn’t bounced their way. North Carolina allowed another near buzzer-beater by Virginia with 0.8 seconds left in the game. Cole Anthony had to miss some time with an elbow to the head which required stitches. They need some mercy and favor to come their way immediately.

UNC played well enough to win another close ACC game but fell short again. It has to be deflating to endure another dramatic loss. Garrison Brooks led all scoring with 20 points.

UNC Bright Spots

Garrison Brooks had 20 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists.

Cole Anthony had 17 points, 3 rebounds, and 5 assists.

Christian Keeling had 11 points.

Needs Work

UNC needs to move without the ball, fight through screens and play better help-side defense. They need to attack the basket more aggressively.

Final Observations

This season has been like watching the same bad movie in which you know the ending. Somehow someway the Tar Heels find a way to lose at the end of the game. It has been frustrating to see UNC lose in such a variety of ways. They are playing hard but not getting rewarded for their efforts. All they can do is take it one game at a time and continue to learn from their mistakes.
