UNC Tar Heels Basketball Team Offensive Wheels Fall Off

by Derrick Clyburn

The Tar Heels basketball team played a lackluster uninterested game. The offense was stagnant Cole Anthony had flu symptoms and Armando Bacot sprained his ankle in the first few minutes of the first half.

What a very rough night for North Carolina. The game was hard to watch. No one wanted to shoot the ball outside of Cole Anthony. When they did shoot the ball it was rushed or a brick-fest.

Roy didn’t what to do to change the lack of energy of effort but sub in the reserve players. That didn’t help the cause much but did draw cheers from the astonished Smith Center crowd for their effort.

UNC Bright Spots

Cole Anthony had 15 points,2 rebounds, and 3 assists.

Needs Work

UNC also struggled to guard the three-point line and to guard dribble penetration. They need to do a better job of playing team defense.

They allowed too many offensive rebounds in the game and need to do a better job of crashing the defensive glass.

UNC needs to find someone who wants it other than Cole Anthony.

Final Observations

This was a horrible game to watch and very disappointing. They are a better team than they showed tonight but they quit. They didn’t show any fight in the second half. Everyone played scared.

Roy has to find someone who will take pride in playing North Carolina basketball. It’s a sad indictment on the upperclassmen who should be leading by example.

Roy needs to pray that his team can get healthy fast. They need all of the available bodies to make it through the tough ACC schedule.

Roy please throw this game tape in the trash and escort the imposters out of the building. Will the real Tar Heels please show up?
