UNC Tar Heels Basketball Team Plays Solid Game to the Finish

by Derrick Clyburn

The Tar Heels basketball team played one of its more consistent games so far this year. The freshmen guards played better without turning the ball over and hit some shots against a stingy Syracuse zone defense.

The big men dominated the glass on both ends of the floor with Garrison Brooks chipping in 16 points and 10 rebounds and Armando Bacot having 15 points and 12 rebounds leading the way with double-doubles.

Armando Bacot had 15 points, 12 rebounds, and 2 assists.

R.J. Davis had 12 points, 2 rebounds, and 1 assist.

Needs Work

The Tar Heels have to limit the droughts on offense by attacking the basket more aggressively. They also need to defend the 3-point shot more effectively.

Final Observations

UNC is showing some growth and better chemistry as a team. They have cut down on the turnovers and are making game-winning plays to finish off opponents. The Tar Heels still haven’t shot the ball well but have found ways to win. North Carolina dominated the boards 48-31.
