UNC Tar Heels: Who Are These Players?

by Derrick Clyburn

Whatever Roy did on Saturday with this Tar Heels basketball team during their day off.  He needs to not do it no more! The players played like imposters. They played afraid.  Like it was their first game and they were starting all freshmen. The Tar Heels shot 1 of 18 from the 3 point line and missed 14 easy layups. It was very hard to watch such an awful performance.

UNC Bright Spots

Theo Pinson was the only player to play with any kind of heart. He led the Tar Heels with 16 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 blocks.

Needs Work

Joel Berry and Luke Maye need to show better leadership. The whole team didn’t play with any poise. Michigan State is not that good.

Final Observations

Roy needs to throw this game tape in the dumpster. There needs to be some soul-searching from the Upperclassmen on this team. This is one of the worst performances in Carolina history. Again, whatever the team did Saturday in their preparation, needs not to be repeated.

  1. I agree, this team seem to play scared ball. The UNC bigs played very poorly. Bright spot is this happened early in the season. Worse UNC basketball I have seen in a while.. Just terrible
