UNC Tar Heels Basketball Team Take Care Business

The Tar Heels basketball team was business-like in their performance tonight. They came out early with a lot of energy and intensity, then they relaxed a little bit. North Carolina kept the pressure on Louisville by attacking the basket or hitting turnaround jumpers.

UNC kept the Cardinals off balance with their switching defense getting into the passing lanes causing turnovers which led to easy baskets. The Tar Heels were led in scoring by Luke Maye and Coby White who had 19 points each.

Coby White had 19 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists.

Luke Maye had 19 points, 9 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal.

Cameron Johnson had 14 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists.

Garrison Brooks had 11 points and 1 rebound.

Needs Work

The Tar Heels need to keep the pressure on the opponent and finish games better. They relaxed when they got up on Louisville by 18 points. North Carolina must take better shots down the stretch.

Final Observations

This is the time of year where you win and move on. So, no matter how North Carolina wins the game you take it. The Tar Heels are playing very unselfishly. They are moving without the ball and getting it to the open man. North Carolina is playing solid defense and they have another gear that they can switch on when needed. This UNC basketball team really hasn’t played their “A” game yet which is scary.
