UNC Tar Heels Football Team Lose on Final Drive

by Derrick Clyburn

The North Carolina football team has been in so many close games this season. They make it very difficult for themselves and their fans with so much drama to end games.

North Carolina scored enough points to win the game but the defense with a plethora of injuries in the secondary was exposed all day. Getting beat on man coverage most of the day. The freshman DBs didn’t make a play on the ball which made an easy pitch and catch for Virginia.

Dyami Brown had a monster game with 202 yards on 6 receptions and 3 touchdowns.

UNC Bright Spots

Dyami Brown had a career-high 6 catches for 202 yards and 3 TDs.

Needs Work

The defensive coordinator is going to have to find a way to help his young secondary. Opponents are exploiting them every game.

The offensive line needs to be more disciplined and cut down on penalties.

Mack Brown and the team have to work on getting leads and closing games out.

Final Observations

This North Carolina football team has been exciting to watch. They have also been very frustrating to watch when they allow games to slip out of their grasp.

UNC either has the offense or the defense not holding up their side of the ball in the close losses. They need to have more consistency.
